What we stand for

• Fairness, transparency, accountability from Democratic Party leadership and public officials at the national, state, and local levels

• Rooting out corruption, opportunities for corruption, and the appearance of corruption

The work we intend to do

• Draft, build support for, and demand votes on model bylaws for township Democratic committees across Essex that build in democracy and legitimacy

• Draft, build support for, and demand a vote on new bylaws for the Essex County Democratic Committee and for its conventions that build in democracy and legitimacy

• Build and maintain up-to-date contact information for all district leaders in Essex County so that they can contact each other

• Identify vacancies on township committees across Essex and recruit candidates to be appointed and/or to run for district leader

• Identify districts where a reform-oriented candidate should challenge an incumbent, help recruit them, and support their efforts

• Encourage our township committees and the county committee to use their voice call for pro-democracy reforms like ranked-choice voting at the state and local level, and to call out corruption, self-dealing, and machinations that undermine democracy and the legitimacy of the Democratic Party and its leaders

• Encourage a cross-county reform coalition to pursue all of the above across New Jersey, both in other county committees and in the state party
